- 1). Cut a strip of fabric that is 2 inches wide and 8 inches long (according to the size of bow you want). This piece of fabric is the center piece of your bow tie.
- 2). Cut a square of fabric about 6 inches by 6 inches (according to the size of bow you want). Fold each of the sides to the inside. They should meet in the center of the fabric.
- 3). Fold the 2-inch piece of fabric in half.
- 4). Grab the 6-inch square of fabric at the top and bottom with your fingers. Pinch the top and bottom together in the center to make the bow shape, and hold the bow in place with your fingers.
- 5). Press your headband between your fingers with the fabric that you have gathered.
- 6). Wrap the 2-inch piece of fabric around the center of the bow and the headband and hold it in place. Hot glue the piece to the back of the bow with the hot glue gun. Cut off the excess fabric. The headband allows you to wear the bow around your neck or in your hair.
