1) Holy Temple of Agia Mavra
Agia Mavra is located into the catle of Agia Manvra. The castle is located exaclty at the entrance of Lefkada, beside the floated bridge.

Basically, this church is a cave beside Agios Ioannis shore rocks, which is modified into a scenic small temple. We can say for sure that is the anciest christianic monument of the island. The tradition mentions that Apostles Paul and Acyllas talked about Jesus Christ. This church has a great historical value, because in 1821, the period of Greek Revolution against the Turkish Empire, the members of Filiki Etairia (a revolutionary organization) promised to give their lives for the delibaration of their nation (Greece).

This church is located in Nidri, a touristic, cheerful village, where you can enjoy your lunch, dinner, drink, or even buy some souvenirs.

This chapel is located in Englouvi, amountainous village (900m altitude). During the ceremony day of the chapel, on 7th of August, traditional local products are delivered for free to visitors.

If you visit this place, stop fro a few minutes to feel the calmness of the nature and admire the view of south Lefkada, Ithaca and Kefalonia from this "natural" balcony.

Situated in the centre of the village, this church has many old wall paintings in the interior.
8) Holy Temple of Agia Kiriaki
Another small church just opposite from Nidri, at Geni peninsula. You can reach there from a path or by boat from, Nidri. The small cruise also offers a great view to Scorpios, th private island of Aristotle Onasis.
