- 1). Place a single 24 inch by 36 inch or larger poster board or a tri-fold display board on a clean, flat surface. Locate the photographs of yourself you want to mount on the board. Handle the photos by the edges to keep oil from contaminating the pictures or wear latex gloves.
- 2). Use scissors to trim the photos to your liking, if needed. Arrange the photos on the board in a layout featuring one large primary picture or a design you want to relay to a viewer: pictures in rows, random pictures skewed, pictures overlapping each other or another design. If laying out a design in rows, use a ruler and pencil to make small marks indicating each row.
- 3). Leave a space open at the top, center or bottom of the board for your name, if desired. Lift up each photo and mark with a pencil an "X" indicating the location of that specific picture so you know where to mount it.
- 4). Turn over each photo and place one or two pieces of acid-free double-sided tape on the back of the photograph. You can also place one to two rows of adhesive from an acid-free glue stick on the back of each photograph, if double-sided tape isn't available.
- 5). Align and mount each photo on top of its designated "X." Continue attaching tape or adhesive and then aligning and mounting each photo until the poster or display board is complete.
- 6). Write your name on a piece of scrapbook or construction paper, if desired. Turn over the paper and apply one to two pieces of double-sided tape or adhesive from a glue stick to the back of the paper. Align and mount the nameplate onto the open spot on the poster or display board. You can also use your computer and printer to print a nameplate.
