Easy

• For simple decorating ideas, use fabric pens to draw designs on the shoes. Make bumblebee shoes by painting yellow and black stripes on the shoes. Use a bee stencil to draw bees all over the shoes. Another idea is to color each section of the shoes with a different-colored fabric pen to make multi-colored shoes. Paint the shoestrings with the fabric pens, too. Other ideas include using the pens to draw patterns on the shoes, such as stripes, polka dots, zigzags and squares.
  
  

Swarovski Crystals

• Use Swarovski crystals to decorate a pair of tennis shoes. Swarovski crystals are available online and at most craft stores. Place double-sided tape to the end of a cocktail stick to pick the crystals up and super glue to attach them to the shoe. Maybe just decorate just the toes of the shoes. You can also use different color crystals to make designs on the toes. For example, use pink crystals to write "Rock" on the toe of one shoe and draw a star on the other. Place clear crystals all around those designs and together the shoes will say "Rock Star." Alternatively, decorate the sides of the shoes or the entire shoes using the crystals.
  
  

Dye

• Decorate tennis shoes by dyeing them all one color using fabric dye. Mix the fabric dye per instructions on the bottle. Place one of shoes in the dye at a time. Decorate the shoes with embellishments like sequins, ribbons and rhinestones if desired. You can also mix several different colors in small cups and use an eyedropper to drop different colors on the shoes. This will resemble the look of tie-dye. Make holiday-themed shoes by using black and orange dye for Halloween or red and green dye for Christmas.

• Other ideas include bridal sneakers, glitter shoes and puff paint shoes. Make bridal shoes by lacing the shoes with satin ribbon or tulle. Glue sequins, miniature faux diamonds and lace pearls. Create the shoes in ivory or white. Make plain tennis shoes sparkle with glue and glitter. Paint a thin layer of glue on the shoes and cover with glitter. Another idea is to use puff paint to decorate the shoes. Some ideas include drawing designs or writing your name with the puff paint.
