- 1). Pinch the end of the alligator clip to hold it open, then place a thin line of glue from your glue gun on the inside of one prong. Press the ribbon in place, making sure the end bumps up against the area where the clip spring is attached. Allow the clip to close, with the ribbon hanging out.
- 2). Place a thin line of glue across the top of the prong you were just working on, then press the ribbon into place.
- 3). Place a small dot of glue on the underside of the other end of the prong (the part you pinch down on to open up the clip), then press the ribbon into place. Repeat this step for the second prong.
- 4). Place a thin line of glue across the top of the second prong, then press the ribbon into place.
- 5). Pinch the end of the alligator clip to hold it open, then place a thin line of glue from your glue gun on the inside of the second prong. Press the ribbon in place, making sure the end bumps up against the area where the clip spring is attached. Cut the ribbon to finish the clip.
