- 1). Drape a few yards of fabric around your body in a column shape. Gather the fabric at the shoulders and secure in place with safety pins so the fabric hangs from your shoulders, similar to a toga. The fabric can be any color you like.
- 2). Attach a square of fabric in a jewel-tone to the back of the outfit using safety pins, so it hangs down like a cape.
- 3). Tie a ribbon under your bust to make a sash and cinch in the dress.
- 4). Wear a short, black wig. Cleopatra often had a lock of hair braided at each side of her face as well.
- 5). Line each eye with thick black eye liner, drawing the liner out in a pointed fashion at the outside of each eye.
- 6). Wear plenty of thick, chunky gold jewelry, including earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Jewelry shaped like a serpent is reminiscent of what Cleopatra would have worn. Add some sandals to complete the outfit.
