- 1). Insert the Windows disc and restart your computer. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press a key. Windows will begin the set-up process.
- 2). When a list of hard drive partitions appears, delete each of them by pressing "D" to delete and "L" to confirm deletion. When finished, you should only have one choice: "unpartitioned space."
- 3). Press "Enter", then format using the NTFS file system. Do nothing while Windows begins to install.
- 4). Wait for Windows to restart. When the process continues, enter the product key, the time and time zone, and your name when prompted to do so. Allow the installation to continue; it may take some time.
- 5). When Windows restarts again, continue the process using the on-screen instructions. The process will vary depending on your hardware configuration.
- 6). Connect to the Internet and activate Windows once you reach your desktop. If you can't, you can also activate Windows over the phone. Installation is complete.
