- 1). Determine which key combination launches the macro. If you created the macro yourself, you had the option to assign a combination of keys to run the macro. If someone else created it, ask which key combination launches it.
- 2). Click on the "Tools" menu in your application and choose "Macro." Click on the "Options" tab to see the key combination assigned to the macro. This comes in handy if you do not know who created the macro.
- 3). Press the key combination indicated to run the macro. Most macros use the "Ctrl" key plus one or two other keys on the keyboard, but some macros use other keys. Watch the screen for an indication that the macro has completed. The macro should flash a message indicating that it has completed. Moreover, many macros provide a bar showing the completion status.
