- 1). Log on to the Windows Server 2008 computer using an account with administrative rights.
- 2). Click "Start," "Administrative Tools" and then "Remote Desktop Services."
- 3). Click "Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration." Right click the name of the remote device that you wish to disable, and from the drop-down list click "Properties."
- 4). Clear the check boxes next to each device you wish to disable; for example, if you wish to disable the remote device's printer, uncheck the "Printers" box. For a full list of policies that you can use to disable devices, see Resources link.
- 5). Click "OK" to save these settings.
