- 1). Click the "Start" menu and launch the "Control Panel" option from the available applets. Click "System and Security," followed by "System."
- 2). Click "Advanced System Settings" to open the System Properties menu. Select "Settings" within the Performance area. Click "Advanced" and select "Change" within the Virtual Memory area.
- 3). Click "Custom Size" to specify an amount of Virtual Memory. Input a minimum amount of megabytes in the "Initial Size" area, followed by a maximum amount in the "Maximum Size" area.
- 4). Click "Set" to effectively apply all changes, followed by "OK" to exit the Virtual Memory menu.
