- 1). Measure and cut a piece of string 1 meter in length. String on six of the 4 mm-sized beads. Form a circle with the six beads. Secure the circle by pulling the left end of the string through the last bead strung on the right. Pull tightly and ensure the ends of the thread are equal in length.
- 2). String a pattern of one seed bead, one 3-mm crystal bead, one seed bead, one 4-mm crystal bead, one seed bead, one 4-mm crystal, one seed bead and one 4-mm crystal bead. Take the end of the string and thread it through the second seed bead in the pattern. String one 3-mm crystal bead and one seed bead on the right-hand thread. Thread the string through the 4-mm crystal bead on the original circle so that it is to the left of the left-handed string.
- 3). String the same pattern of beads from Step 2 on to the right-hand string (this string was on the left during Step 2). Cross the thread through the first string bead strung, and add on a 3-mm crystal bead and a seed bead. Thread the string through the second bead on the original circle to bring it back to the left. Now the snowflake should have two points. Continue to repeat this process until three more arms of the snowflake have been formed.
- 4). String the last arm with a pattern of one seed bead, one 3-mm crystal bead, one seed bead, the pendant hook, one seed bead, one 4-mm crystal bead, one seed bead and one 4-mm crystal bead. Cross the thread through the first string bead strung, and add on a 3-mm crystal bead and a seed bead. Thread the string through the second bead on the original circle to bring it back to the left. Tie the string ends in a tight knot. Hide the knot under the closest 4-mm crystal bead. Attach the pendant to a thin chain, fabric cord or leather cord.
