- 1). Click your mouse in the game area to move around, move objects and pick up objects. The movement can be a little buggy, and it can be difficult to find items on occasion, so it can be appropriate to click randomly in the game area.
- 2). Listen to the sounds while you're playing. When you're close to finding a new clue, you'll a hear a distinct sound.
- 3). Inspect objects once you've picked them up by highlighting them in your inventory and then clicking the "About Item" button in the lower-right corner. This brings objects into full screen.
- 4). Click objects when you're inspecting them to interact with individual items.
- 5). Combine objects in the inspection screen. Some items interact with others. For example, there is a CD you can put into a CD case.
- 6). Click the "Try to Escape" button just under the "About Item" button to exit the full-screen item inspection mode.
- 7). Use the found objects with other objects that you cannot put in your inventory. For example, there is a key and a lock in the Viridian Room..Highlight the key and click the lock to open it.
