- 1). Cut seven strands of embroidery floss 24 inches in length. Choose one, two, or three coordinating colors.
- 2). Fold the threads in half and tie them together at the ends, forming a loop with each strand.
- 3). Pin the knot to a piece of cardboard, a scrap of wood or your pant leg. Separate the strands and place the loops over the ends of your fingers with four on one hand and three on the other. Place the three strands on your dominant hand. Leave the pinkie finger on this hand free to weave through the threads.
- 4). Slide your pinkie finger between the strands of the four loops on your other hand. Make sure one half of each loop strand is above your pinkie and the other below; pass your finger through the centers of each strand.
- 5). Hook your pinkie over the last strand, which is hooked over your index finger, on the outside of the four loops. Release the strand and pull that outside single strand back through the center. You now have four strands on the opposite hand, one on the pinkie.
- 6). Gently move your hands apart until the stitch slides up to the top. Hold the threads taught to keep stitches uniform and flat.
- 7). Shift the loops over a finger on the hand with three loops so your pinkie finger is free. Repeat the steps using that pinkie. Pull the last strand through; use a twisting motion to lift the strand to the top and make it easier to hook with your pinkie. Avoid twisting the strands when weaving.
- 8). Continue weaving, transferring the loops from one hand to the next, always pulling the outside strand through to the center with your pinkie. When the bracelet reaches the desired length, form a loop and pull all the strands through. Create an overhand knot to finish it off.
