- 1). Log into the local machine that is currently in safe mode.
- 2). Click the Windows "Start" menu and choose "Run." A dialog box will open.
- 3). Type "msconfig" and press "Enter." The "System Configuration Utility" window will open.
- 4). Select the "Boot.ini" tab. Deselect the check box that corresponds to "SAFEBOOT," under the "Boot Options" section. Click "OK."
- 5). Restart the computer. The system will start in normal mode. Safe mode will be turned off.
