- 1). Open the Start Menu and select the "Run" option.
- 2). Type regedit" into the Run box and click "Ok" to open the registry editor.
- 3). Click on the + to expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive.
- 4). Navigate to the "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System " key.
- 5). Right click on the right pane, in the "System" key and select "New." Choose "DWORD Value."
- 6). Type "DisableTaskMgr" as the name and press "Enter."
- 7). Double click on the entry you just created and type "0" into the "Value" box. Click "Ok."
- 8). Close the registry editor and restart your computer.
