- 1). Place the warped record in its protective paper sleeve. If you do not have a sleeve, you can make one by laying the record onto any wax-free paper and tracing around the edge with a pen or pencil. You will need two pieces of circular paper. Cut out the circles and place the record between them. You do not need to cut out the center hole. Tape the paper together to keep the record in place.
- 2). Glue one piece of cork onto each corner of one piece of glass, on the side facing up. Allow the glue to dry, since it may damage your record sleeve.
- 3). Place the record onto the center of the glass with the cork pieces in the corners. The record itself should fit in the center without touching the cork. The sleeve may touch or cover the cork, which is fine. Place the remaining glass on top to sandwich the record between the two pieces.
- 4). Place the record sandwich outside for 15 to 20 minutes on a hot sunny day. You can also use your oven. Preheat the oven to it's lowest setting, between 150 and 200 degrees, then turn it off. Place the record sandwich in the oven for no more than 15 minutes, or the record could melt.
