Threading a Bernina Sewing Machine

Hand turn the sewing wheel until the presser foot and take-up lever are in their highest positions. Place spool of thread on the spool pin. This is located on the opposite side of the machine near the top, tilted at a 45-degree angle.

Using your left hand, lead the thread through the eyelet on the top of the machine. Guide thread through the slot of the tension disc.

Pull thread through the thread guide.

Guide thread up to the slot of the take-up lever.

Lead thread down to the needle guide.

Guide thread through the eye of the needle guide down to the needle.

Guide thread through the eye of the needle. Gently pull thread until a thread extension of 3 to 4 inches is created. The machine is now threaded.
