- 1). Clean out the jar so that it is clean and has no smudges inside. Soap and a brush should work fine in most situations.
- 2). Fill the jar with water, and add a small amount of the gelatin powder. Read the instructions on the gelatin to see how it must be added; some require it to be added to boiling water. Add just enough powder to thicken the water.
- 3). Glue the figurines to the underside of the jar lid. If desired, carve a few holiday-appropriate shapes out of wood to add to the display. Allow the glue to fully dry. Test the glue by jostling the figurines lightly to make sure they hold in place.
- 4). Sprinkle a generous amount of glitter into the water. This will be the snow, so feel free to go heavy with it.
- 5). Put some glue on the inside rim of the top and screw it onto the jar. Let it rest on the lid until the glue dries and the lid holds tight.
- 6). Cut a base for the snow globe from cardboard. Make it larger than the lid of the jar.
- 7). Glue the jar onto the cardboard base, and let it dry.
