- 1). Click the "Start" button on your computer's desktop.
- 2). Choose "Control Panel" from the Start menu.
- 3). Double-click the "System and Maintenance" option on the Control Panel.
- 4). Choose "Indexing Options" from the System and Maintenance window.
- 5). Click "Advanced" and then navigate to the "Index Settings" tab.
- 6). Click the "Rebuild" option. You may be prompted for an administrator password.
- 7). Allow the Search Indexer to rebuild the index. This should refresh the Search Indexer settings and fix errors and issues with the service.
