Hi there. My name's Jessica Delfino. I love to make crafts, and I'm part of a craft group here in New York City called CrAftermath. You can find us online at CrafterMath.blogspot.com. Today, we're going to make a fun, easy craft for kids out of paper plates. So, this is a very basic thing. We're going to basically make a greeting Valentine's Day plate, if you will. And, we need a couple things. We need a marker, we need a plate. We need some - I have some hearts here, pre cut out, but you can use any decoration you like. And, we need some glue. So, the first thing I'm going to do - actually, I also have some glitter, which is really fun for a craft like this. Let's use a little bit of glitter, too. Going to take my glue, I'm going to make a nice ring around the outside, kind of like a swirly glue ring. And, this is really great using crafts for paper plates, because normally you're supposed to use the glue on a plate and then dump it out. So, we've already got a plate built in with which to put our glitter onto our glue. So, there we go. Then, with whatever glitter is left over, you can just dump it out onto another piece of paper, or put it back into your glitter jar. So, now I've got this really cute red pattern that looks really nice. Next, we're going to take our hearts that we've already cut out. We're going to put a little bit of glue on the back of those, and we're going to just put them on the heart really however you like. I'm going to put one here, and I'm going to take my other one. And, you can do as many as you like. You can do small hearts, you can do big hearts, you can do hearts of many different colors. The world is your oyster. So, my hearts are going to kind of overlap just a little bit, like that. Then, you can take your marker and write a little message of Valentine's Day: "'To Sally." I'll make this one to my friend, Sally. "Happy Valentine's Day!" Can write that on there. "Happy Valentine's Day." Do you guys know how to spell "Valentines?" I'm sure you do, and if you don't you can look it up, just like my mom used to always tell me to do. "Love, Jessica." Then, you have this lovely little card that you can give to a friend. I like using these small plates, because they're a perfect size for a nice little greeting. Sometimes, those big paper plates are just, you know, hard to work with. But, of course, you can cut them in half and make them a little bit smaller. And so, here you go. This is your Valentine's Day card made on a paper plate. Happy Valentine's Day! Happy crafting!
