- 1). Coat a glass plate with a layer of craft glue, using a foam paint brush to apply.
- 2). Tear a piece of craft paper with a ballet shoe motif into pieces. Press pieces onto the plate while the glue is still wet. Overlap the paper pieces so none of the plate shows through, continuing the paper to the edge of the plate. Ballet motif paper can be found at craft or art supply shops.
- 3). Trim any paper hanging over the rim of the plate, using a pair of scissors.
- 4). Apply a layer of craft glue over the paper, using a foam paint brush to apply a thin, even layer. Let the glue dry for about an hour, until it is clear.
- 5). Cut a strip of pink tulle about two inches wide and as long as the circumference of the plate, plus six inches. Hot glue the tulle around the underside of the plate so the tulle sticks out beneath the rim. As you glue, bunch the tulle, so it ruffles up, and looks like a ballet tutu.
