- 1). Power on your Fantom X6, and then press the keyboard's "Song Edit" button. Press the "F3" button to erase any data from your X6's temporary memory, and the press "F8" to confirm your decision.
- 2). Press the X6's "Rec" button to access the Realtime Rec Standby menu. Press "F2" if you wish to record the steps of a pattern -- realtime recording is set by default.
- 3). Navigate down to the "Count In" field. Turn the value knob to set your recording's count-in mode. Select the "1 Measure" to have the X6's metronome play one measure before recording starts, or select the "2 Meas" option to have it play two measures ahead of recording. Use the "Wait Note" option if you want to start recording as soon as your first note is played.
- 4). Press "F8" to begin recording your track. Press the "Stop" button after you're done recording your track.
