- 1). Select five pieces of crepe or tissue paper. You may use all the same color or colors that complement each other, such as dark orange, light orange, peach, cream and white. Cut the stack of paper into 4-inch squares. Use a marker to draw flower petal shapes on the top piece of paper, then cut out your flower shapes.
- 2). Push your pipe cleaner up through the center of your flowers. Form a small curl with the top of the pipe cleaner to create the center and secure the pipe cleaner. Further down on the pipe cleaner, you may bend the wire to create leaf shapes or you can use tissue paper to create leaves.
- 3). Place your hand underneath your flower so you're cupping the base in your hand between your middle and ring fingers. Gently scrunch the paper to create a pompom effect.
- 4). Wrap floral tape around the very base of the flower and continue a couple inches down the stem. Use your fingers to separate the flower petals.
