Title Bar

• The Title Bar tells the user two important pieces of information: the name of the program and, if applicable, the name of file.
  
  

Menu Bar

• The menu bar provides access to every item that the program can do. Some programs in Office 2007 use the Ribbon Bars in place of menu bars.
  
  

Minimize, Maximize/Restore and Close Buttons

• The Minimize, Maximize/Restore and Close buttons allow the user to reduce the screen to the task bar, to shrink or grow the screen, and to close the screen, respectively.
  
  

Scroll Bars

• The Scroll Bars allow the user to move up and down, and left and right, in the screen.
  
  

The Work Area

• The Work Area is the portion of the screen where the user can complete a task.
