- 1). Build a stack of tissue paper squares by layering two or three squares of various colors on top of one another.
- 2). Fold the squares back and forth in an accordion style. The folding method is the same as that used to create accordion paper fans.
- 3). Color the ends of the paper with markers to create a "dipped" flower look. Consider trimming the ends of the paper with pinking shears or other decorative scissors to create interesting texture.
- 4). Place the folded paper horizontally on the work surface. Put a pipe cleaner in the center to serve as the flower's stem so that the end extends slightly beyond the edge of the paper. Bend the edge of the pipe cleaner around the paper to hold the pipe cleaner in place.
- 5). Pull apart the folds of the paper gently to create a round bloom. Fluff and play with the paper until you create a full flower bloom.
