- 1). Purchase an envelope template from a craft, scrapbooking or online store in the card making department. Place envelope template on to floral, patterned, plain or vellum paper.
- 2). Trace and cut out the envelope pattern from the fancy paper. Repeat with a second piece of plain or foil paper if you want to make a liner for the envelope.
- 3). Cut out the envelope paper. Cut the liner section one quarter inch smaller all the way around the entire piece.
- 4). Paper punch the edge of the flap area of the main envelope for a lacy or scallop effect.
- 5). Adhere the edges of the liner to the wrong side (interior) of the envelope. You can use double-sided tape for this.
- 6). Score all fold lines of the envelope twice with a bone folder or craft stick.
- 7). Fold all of the scored lines using the bone folder.
- 8). Adhere the side panels and bottom flap in place according to template directions.
