- 1). Restart your computer. Check on screen to see which key you need to enter the "BIOS" or "Setup." Most commonly this is "Del" or "Esc." Press the button repeatedly until the BIOS opens. The BIOS screen will look different from computer to computer but in general they have the same menus and subsections.
- 2). Use the arrow keys to browse to your "Boot" options. If you do not have a "Boot" menu, enter the "Advanced" settings.
- 3). Locate the "Boot Device Priority" or "Boot Priority" list.
- 4). Select the first boot device and press the corresponding keys to cycle through your startup disks. This is often controlled by using page up and down (but will be listed in the help on the right of the BIOS).
- 5). Press "F10" to enter the BIOS and save your settings.
