Using Microsoft Paint, you can create drawings to print, use as your desktop wallpaper or to embed in another document. Also, with MSPaint, you can edit pictures using the formats .jpg, .gif and .bmp. If you have accidentally uninstalled the program, there are several options for restoring it to your computer. - You may have simply deleted the shortcut to MSPaint. To determine if your computer still contains the application, go to "Start," click "Run" and type "mspaint." If the program does not start, you have uninstalled the file from your computer.
- If you have the Windows XP CD, insert it into your CD drive. Go to the Control Panel and click "Add or Remove Programs." Select "Add/Remove Windows Components" and open "Accessories and Utilities." Select "Accessories," put a check next to "Paint" and click "OK."
- If you do not have the Windows XP CD, you can retrieve MSPaint from another Windows XP computer. On the other computer, go to C:WINDOWS/system32 and copy the file "mspaint.exe" to your flash drive. On your computer, paste the file into C:WINDOWS/system32.
