How to Install Microsoft Fax on My Windows XP

    • 1). Click on the “Start” button from the Windows XP desktop and then click on the “Run” option. The Command Prompt window will then appear on your screen.

    • 2). Enter “appwiz.cpl” into the “Open” field and then click on the “OK” button. The Add or Remove Programs dialog box will then appear.

    • 3). Click on the “Add/Remove Windows Components” option from the left side of the dialog box and then the Windows Components Wizard dialog box will appear.

    • 4). Click on the box next to the “Fax Services” field so that it’s selected in the “Components” list. Click on the “Next” button.

    • 5). Insert the Windows XP installation disc if you are prompted to and then click on the “OK” button.

    • 6). Click on the “Finish” button when the installation process completes and then close out of the dialog boxes. Microsoft Fax will then be fully installed on your computer.
