- 1). Double-click the "My Network Places" icon on your Windows XP desktop. Double-click "Entire Network," and then double-click "Microsoft Windows Network." This displays all your computers on the network.
- 2). Double-click the computer you want to set up as the remote computer. This lists all the drives available to share on the remote computer.
- 3). Right-click the drive or folder you want to share, and select "Map Network Drive" from the pop-up window. Click "Finish" in the new window that displays your settings.
- 4). Double-click "My Computer" on your desktop. The new remote shared drive is shown in your list of hard drives. Double-click the drive to view the remote computer's folders and files.
