- 1). Open Firefox from your desktop. Click "Tools" on the menu bar directly above the address bar and navigation buttons in the Firefox window.
- 2). Choose how far back you would like the history to be erased by clicking the button next to the "Time range to clear" text. Click "Everything" if you would like to remove all of the saved history and ensure that it is not displayed in any Firefox bar.
- 3). Make sure that "Browsing & Download History," "Form & Search History" and "Cache" have a check mark in the box next to them. Click the empty box next to these options to place a check mark in them if they are unchecked. You can also place a check mark next to "Cookies," "Active Logins" and "Site Preferences" if you would like these items to be deleted as well.
- 4). Click the button labeled "Clear Now" to delete these history items. Firefox will clear the history automatically and close this window after the process has completed. Close Firefox when the "Clear All History" window has closed. Reopen the browser and your history items will be deleted from all bars in the Firefox window.
