• The X-Fi Elite Pro offers a proprietary software that aims to deliver realistic sound effects during your gaming experience. In addition to this, Creative claims that their X-RAM software boosts game audio even further. The X-Fi Elite Pro audio processing engine boosts sound performance by up to 15 percent, when compared to similar audio cards.
  
  

Sound Compression

• The X-Fi Elite Pro also offers an X-Fi Crystalizer, which Creative says helps bring depth and fullness to compressed audio. The X-Fi Crystalizer intelligently enhances the highs and lows of compressed audio, which should in turn give the listener clearer sound.
  
  

Surround Sound

• This card also offers surround sound options by supporting multi-channel speakers as well as regular stereo speakers and headphones. For example, voices are centered to your main two stereo speakers, while ambient sounds are scattered around your other speakers.
