- To view the scheduled tasks in Windows XP, go to "Start," select "Programs," choose "Accessories," click "System Tools" and hit "Scheduled Tasks." From the Scheduled Tasks window, you can view pending tasks as well as create new ones.
- To search for specific tasks, click the search button on the window; this is usually above the address bar. By clicking this button, you're able to search for tasks by key words or phrases while limiting the search just to the Scheduled Tasks folder.
- Everyone uses Scheduled Tasks differently. Some users create scheduled updates of certain programs, and others use it to create regular computer backups or hard drive defragmentation.
