- 1). Download and install the free Microsoft .Net installer program to the desktop. Follow the menu commands to finish the installation.
- 2). Download and install the free DirectShowDump TiVo program to the desktop. Follow the menu commands to finish the installation. Restart the PC.
- 3). Launch DirectShowDump by selecting it from the "Start" > "All Applications" pop-up menu.
- 4). Drag the TiVo file from the desktop onto the icon of DirectShowDump. The icon is in the Systems tray at the bottom right of the screen. Click the "Convert" button on the program's main screen. Wait for the confirmation window to pop-up and click "OK."
- 5). Click the "File" tab at the top of the program's main screen. Select "Save to" from the drop down menu. Select "Desktop" from the "Locations" drop down menu in the middle of the window that appears. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the window. Your TiVo file is now converted to MP2.
