- 1). Turn on the exchange server and log in. Press "WIN" and "R" at the same time. "WIN" is the Windows logo key located between the "Ctrl" and "Alt" keys. Type "regedit.exe" and press "Enter."
- 2). Use the left-pane navigation in the Registry Editor to expand the following directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem. - 3). Click the ParametersSystem folder so that it is highlighted. Click "Edit" from the menu bar and select "Add Value." Type "Disable MAPI Clients" for the "Value Name." Select the type as "REG_SZ" and type "v1, v2-v3, -v4, v5- " in the "Value Data" field.
- 4). Close the Registry Editor by clicking the red "X" icon located in the top right.
- 5). Press "WIN" and "R" at the same time. Type "services.msc" and press "Enter."
- 6). Scroll to the "Microsoft Exchange Information Store" on the Services list and right-click the service. Select "Restart" to finalize the MAPI settings.
