- 1). Wipe stainless steel surfaces with a soft, moistened cloth. Wipe with the grain and dry the surface with a paper towel.
- 2). Remove tougher grime by filling a dishpan with water and adding a few drops of soap. Submerge a clean rag into the soapy water and wring it out. Wipe your stainless steel surfaces with the soapy rag, going with the grain of the metal.
- 3). Rinse the surface of soapy residue with a clean wet rag. Dry it with a paper towel.
- 4). Fill an empty spray bottle with undiluted vinegar. Mist clean stainless steel surfaces with the vinegar. Wipe clean and to a shine with a dry soft cloth.
- 5). Soak stainless steel flatware and cookware in a dishpan filled with 1 gallon of water and 1 cup of vinegar. This soak will help remove stains, heat marks, grease and cooked-on food.
- 6). Rinse the flatware and cookware under cold water and dry with a soft cloth.
