- 1). Turn the wand on the blinds to move them into the closed position. Vacuum the blinds with your vacuum's brush attachment to remove all particles. Turn the wand the other direction until the blinds are closed with the opposite side facing you. Vacuum the other side.
- 2). Flip open the bracket that holds the top rail of the blinds. Slide the top rail out of the brackets.
- 3). Fill your bathtub with enough water to cover the blinds. Add 1 cup of ammonia to the water.
- 4). Lay your blinds in the tub so the water is covering the slats. Let the blinds soak in the water for five minutes.
- 5). Scrub each slat with a scrub sponge to remove all grease and grime.
- 6). Remove the blinds from the water and hang them over the shower curtain rod. Dry any standing water with a towel. Let the blinds finish drying overnight.
