- 1). Vacuum out the interior of the luggage by using a hose attachment. This will get out any dust and gunk that has been accumulating over time.
- 2). Clean off the majority of dust and other residue from the exterior by wiping it off with a soft, moist cloth. Use lukewarm water for this process.
- 3). Dip a small area of the cloth into leather cleaner and apply the cloth to a small corner of the luggage. It's important to begin in a corner so that you can test the leather cleaner and make sure that it doesn't alter the color of the leather.
- 4). Buff the leather clean working in one small section at a time while using a circular motion. Gradually work your way across the entire area of the luggage, adding more cleaner as needed.
- 5). Rinse off the cloth with water and wring it dry. Use this to wipe off any leftover residue from the exterior.
- 6). Dry the luggage completely by using a soft towel over the entire area.
