- 1). Sweep the floor with a broom to remove dirt, dust and debris. Loose debris will damage unglazed ceramic tiles, so daily sweeping is necessary.
- 2). Pour 1 tbsp. of borax, 2 tbsps. of clear ammonia and 1 gallon of warm water in a cleaning bucket. Dip a microfiber mop into the solution.
- 3). Mop the tiles in a circular motion, using the microfiber mop. Continue to mop the unglazed ceramic tiles until no more dirt or debris remains.
- 4). Fill another cleaning bucket with clean water. Mop the floor with the water to rinse away the solution and any remaining dirt.
- 5). Use a clean towel to dry the tiles. Inspect the tiles for remaining stains. If you notice any more dirt or debris, continue mopping with the solution.
