- 1). Cut two or three old Mylar balloons into strips about 3 inches wide by 1 foot long. Tie the Mylar balloon strips on tree or bush branches near your garden. As the wind blows the strips around, the shininess and motion scare the deer away.
- 2). Insert garden stakes around the perimeter of your garden. Place the stakes 2 1/2 feet apart.
- 3). Cut bars of deodorant soap in half, lengthwise. Stick the bar soap halves on top of the garden stakes to repel deer with the smell.
- 4). Sprinkle predator urine, purchased at a local nursery, around the perimeter of your garden and around trees and bushes being eaten by deer. Reapply the urine after watering the garden or rainfall.
