- 1). Test the mini blind cord by pulling it down. Both sides of the mini blind should pull up evenly. If one side of the mini blinds is higher than the other side, trace which cord goes to the higher side by visually following the cord to the top of the mini blinds.
- 2). Locate the equalizer on the mini blind cords. The equalizer is a small bracket through which the two draw cords are fed. Pull the cord connected to the side that is higher up through the equalizer until both sides of the mini blinds are level.
- 3). Cut the bottom of the cords if the cords need to be shortened. Cut to the desired length.
- 4). Feed the bottom of the cords through the hole in the cord tassel. Tie the ends of the cords with double knots to keep the cords from sliding back up through the tassel hole.
