- 1). Place the silver in an aluminum pot or dish. If you don’t have a pot or dish made of aluminum, line a pot with aluminum foil.
- 2). Place the silver object into the pot.
- 3). Pour baking soda liberally over the tarnished silver item.
- 4). Pour hot water over the silver to cover it completely.
- 5). Allow the silver to soak until the bubbles have stopped and the water is cool.
- 6). Buff the silver dry with a soft clean dry cloth to restore the shine.
