- 1). Turn off the food processor, and unplug its power cable from the nearest electrical outlet. Remove the processor's top cover and any removable blades from within the unit.
- 2). Relocate the food processor to a flat work surface, and place it face down. Remove the Phillips-head screws on the bottom side of the food processor.
- 3). Lift the housing from the bottom of the food processor, and set it aside. This reveals the internal motor and bearings.
- 4). Place two to three drops of non-detergent, lightweight mechanical oil into the motor's bearings. Replace the food processor's bottom cover and its retaining Phillips-head screws.
- 5). Replace the food processor's blades and top cover. Plug in the processor, and turn it on to test out the motor. Repeat the lubrication process until your Cuisinart food processor's motor runs quieter.
