- 1). Prepare a solution of either equal parts vinegar and water or one part bleach and five parts water. Fill a deep bowl or small bucket with the solution. Either solution will deodorize, clean and disinfect the grout brush.
- 2). Dip the grout brush into the solution and brush the sides of the container to loosen any debris that might be sticking to the bristles. Let the brush sit in the solution for five to 10 minutes.
- 3). Remove the brush from the solution and rinse it thoroughly under hot water. Rinse out the container and fill it with hot water. Scrub the brush against the sides like you did before to help the water move between all of the bristles.
- 4). Shake the brush vigorously to get as much of the excess water off of it as you can. Hang the brush up and allow it to drip dry before storing it.
