- 1). Scrape off as much grease as you can with a spoon. Dab the grease stain with a clean cloth.
- 2). Sprinkle baking powder onto a small, hidden area of the drape. If the fabric is not damaged by the baking power, sprinkle a generous amount of baking powder onto the grease stain.
- 3). Allow the baking powder to soak into the grease for an hour. Brush the baking powder off of the drapes with a nailbrush.
- 4). Check the stain to see if it is gone. If the stain remains, dab a bit of dishwashing liquid on a hidden area of the drape. If no damage occurs, add a drop of the dishwashing liquid and water to the grease stain. Rub in the liquid with your finger.
- 5). Rub the stain in circular motions with the nailbrush on both sides of the drape. Dab the spot with a damp cloth to thoroughly rinse the detergent off the drape. Allow the drape to air dry.
