Even if you're on a tight budget, you can still take good care of your skin. Create a wholesome and inexpensive homemade facial that will leave your skin fresh, rejuvenated and glowing without unnecessary chemicals, colors or fragrance. Always wash your face before applying your homemade facial mask -- and finish every facial with your favorite moisturizer. - Stir 3 tbsp. of orange juice into about a half cup of warm honey. Smooth the mixture over your face and neck. Leave the facial for 30 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Add a few drops of olive oil or sweet almond oil if your skin is dry.
- Stir 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 tbsp. of olive oil into an egg yolk. Add whole, uncooked oats until the mixture forms a thick paste. Apply the mask to your face, then rinse after 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mash a small, ripe papaya with a fork. Add honey to make a thick paste. Smooth the papaya mask on your skin. Rinse after 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mash a ripe avocado and smooth the avocado over your skin. If desired, add a few drops of honey or olive oil. If your skin is oily, add a few drops of lemon juice.
- Mash a ripe banana, then blend in about a 1/2 cup of honey to make a thick paste. Apply the banana mixture evenly to your skin, then rinse after 20 minutes. Add the contents of a vitamin E capsule if you want a richer mask.
- Puree a small cucumber and 1 tbsp. of yogurt in a blender. Use full fat yogurt if you have dry skin and non-fat yogurt if you have oily skin. Cream or milk can be substituted for yogurt. Smooth the cucumber mixture over your face, then rinse after about 20 minutes.
- Stir 2 tbsp. of honey into 1/4 cup ricotta cheese. Apply to your skin and leave the facial for 20 minutes before rinsing.
