- 1). Spray the mold or mildew stain with a disinfecting solution. According to vinyl flooring manufacturer DuPont, a mixture of bleach and water may be used if it does not remain on the floor for longer than an hour.
- 2). Scrub the stain with a nylon scrub brush, making sure to get in all cracks and crevices.
- 3). Remove cleaner from the floor with a clean, wet cloth. Allow the floor to dry completely.
