- 1). Launder any fabrics and bedding with mouse urine using hot water and your regular detergent. Verify that your clothes dryer reaches at least 115 degrees Fahrenheit. Dry the clothes in the clothes dryer, if it does. Hang the clothes on a clothesline outside for at least four days, if it does not.
- 2). Create a mixture that contains 1.5 cups bleach and 1 gallon of water. Fill a spray bottle with this mixture. Spray the area covered in mouse urine with the bleach and water mixture until the area is soaked. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- 3). Set a paper towel down over the area and allow it to absorb the excess moisture. Place the paper towels in a trash bag and seal the bag.
- 4). Wipe down the surrounding areas with the water and bleach mixture created in Step 2 with a paper towel. Assume that everywhere around the mouse urine spot is contaminated, as mice often leak urine while traveling. Throw the paper towel in a trash bag and seal the bag.
- 5). Place the plastic bags in a trash can that is regularly emptied. Make sure the trash can is tightly sealed.
