- 1). Position the clogged spray nozzle's exit hole under a flow of hot water for five minutes to soften the crusty buildup.
- 2). Wipe the softened residue off the spray nozzle's exit hole opening using a clean tissue.
- 3). Pump the spray nozzle to discover whether the spray system is working. If not, pull the spray nozzle off the can.
- 4). Fill a bowl with 1/2-cup of undiluted rubbing alcohol. Submerge the spray nozzle in the rubbing alcohol.
- 5). Let the nozzle soak for two hours. Rubbing alcohol dissolves resins and other buildup in nozzles.
- 6). Rinse the nozzle under warm water. Use a clean tissue to wipe any softened gunk off the spray nozzle's opening.
- 7). Replace the nozzle on the can.
