- 1). Place the paper on a flat surface.
- 2). Hold the paper securely with one hand.
- 3). Place your index finger and thumb around the tape residue to frame it.
- 4). Rub an adhesive eraser over the tape residue. You can purchase an adhesive eraser at most office supply stores. Rub gently and toward the edge of the paper.
- 5). Spray compressed air over the area to remove the loose adhesive. You can purchase compressed air at most computer supply and automotive stores.
- 1). Apply a white spirit to an unimportant area of the paper to ensure that the spirit will not ruin the paper.
- 2). Soak a cloth in the white spirit.
- 3). Place the soaked cloth over the residue for one minute.
- 4). Wipe the adhesive off with a clean cloth.
- 5). Place the paper in a warm location to dry. Avoid using a blow dryer if the paper is valuable.
